1. Paul's nephew appears unexpectedly and became an important part of God's protection of Paul. Has God ever used an unexpected person or situation to help, protect, encourage, or redirect you?

2. Paul trusted God, but he also acted when he learned about the plot against him. What is the difference between trusting God and simply doing nothing?

3. Read Philippians 2:12-13. What do you think it means to "work out your salvation" in every life?
